These trends include autonomous transport, smart cities, sustainability, and the Internet of Things (IoT). New Space technologies turn out to be key enablers for these advances across industries. For example, the New Space satellite infrastructure facilitates extensive earth observation capabilities that help address and mitigate climate change.
These trends include autonomous transport, smart cities, sustainability, and the Internet of Things (IoT). New Space technologies turn out to be key enablers for these advances across industries. For example, the New Space satellite infrastructure facilitates extensive earth observation capabilities that help address and mitigate climate change.
By facilitating more efficient use of natural resources as well as their monitoring and management (e.g. reducing water usage through targeted irrigation systems, identifying areas of deforestation and illegal fishing, etc), space-enabled solutions are already beginning to address many environmental and climate change related challenges. As such, many of these developing technologies have the potential to contribute to achieving the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Incorporating ESG considerations into our decision-making processes reduces risks and enhances financial returns of our investments, whilst creating a net benefit for society.
